Who We Are

MEET THE ANDERSONS

Andrew grew up working with his family in church planting and singing with my sister while my mom played the piano and my dad led the music. He came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of six, sitting around a campfire talking with his dad after his grandmother had passed away. Andrews dad explained to him that she had gone to heaven because she had accepted Jesus’ free gift of salvation, and went on to explain how Jesus died on the cross for his sins and that the only way to heaven was to accept that free gift. That night, He accepted God’s free gift. Several years later, His youth leader asked if he had been baptized and explained that baptism is not just a next step, but also a command to show the world that I had accepted Jesus as my Savior. Andrew was baptized in a cow pond in upstate New York during the summer, when their country Baptist church held a potluck on a farm.

Melissa grew up in the ministry and has been involved her whole life. Her dad was a pastor, so she got the unique privilege of serving alongside her parents in different capacities around the church and other ministries including, Children’s programs, Kids clubs, Preschool Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher from babies to youth, Ladies Ministry Teacher, Office help. She prayed, the prayer of salvation at an early age but struggled with assurance for years. It wasn’t until she was older that she walked into her dad’s office and said, “this ends today, I have to know, that I know, that I know I’m saved.” It wasn’t about the works she had done, through witnessing and serving in the church it was about the grace and mercy of an almighty God who died on the cross for her sins. Since that day she has never once doubted her Salvation and has helped others come to that same assurance she has found. Melissa has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biblical Counseling with a Minor in Desktop design. She has used both those skills at the church and at home as a homeschooling mother of 5.

Andrew and Melissa have had the honor and privilege to open their home to foster children over the years. Though that season of life is closed for now they were blessed to become parents to four brothers, Charles, Nathan, Timothy, and Daniel, through adoption. Since then, God has increased their family with the addition of another boy, Drew.

Andrew works remotely from home and Melissa homeschools the boys allowing their family to be mobile and be available to churches from 2 weeks to a few months at a time if needed.
